Garden Hands Illawarra is a community-minded project with a simple goal: to help local people create productive vegetable gardens at a very low cost where they have the space but may not have the resources, materials or ability to build one themselves. 

At Garden Hands Illawarra, we feel passionate about the communities of the Illawarra having access to spaces to grow their own food. Tending to vegetable and herb gardens not only improves physical health through nourishing and fresh food but also has been shown to improve mental well-being and community food security. We live in such a beautiful region with plenty of rainfall and great soil – so why not chuck in a veggie garden! It’d be our honour to help.
